• I’m trying to use an image gallery on of my client’s site’s pages and was able to upload a few files to the folder using a JPG format. I went to add more and am getting an error that the file type is not supported. They’re all JPGs within the 1200 pixel size limit. I don’t get why they won’t upload. Any ideas?

please share link to the website
please share the exact error message for file type not supported
what is the size of the images you are trying to upload? (in KB or MB)
can you upload images directly to the media library?
which folder are you trying to add to?

This is the page I’m referring to, it has a gallery of its own that shows up as a grid. https://www.riot2ksports.com/photo-gallery/semi-dye-jerseys/

The images are around 150-215 KB. I’m able to upload directly to the media gallery. I’m trying to upload to this specific gallery (called Semi-Dyes) folder. We have several different in-site galleries displaying photos. I didn’t originally set it up, I am just adding to it so that’s the best I can explain without a screenshot. Let me know if you need more info!

And the error message is just that, “File type not supported.”

maybe it’s a folder permissions issue? does the folder have same permissions as all other folders?
can you upload a PDF, GIF or PNG into the folder?

I tried other file types but it won’t let me upload those, either. I had just uploaded several files and then suddenly it started giving me that error.

I’m not sure how to check folder permissions.

do you have access to your uploads folders via FTP?
if yes, which FTP client are you using?
