• Hi…
I was just getting startet building my wordpresspage. I think i am already getting the hang of it. But there is one question that i ask myself.

What is the reason for the file size limitation on theme-image files.
I tried to get a high quality header image online, but as soon as the image is larger than 60 KB, the image is not loaded.

Don’t get me wrong, i am aware, that keeping your ressources slim is part of the game, and i very much support that thought. But i really want to know what the limitation is here. Is it browsers? PHP-functions? CSS? Is there a limitation at all or am i just too much out of coding yet…;)

A little help would be greatly appreaciated.

Edit: I just found out that my XAMPP does not serve the images over 60 KB. Any ideas on that…?
