    Hi Stephen

Great plugin by the way. One of the main reasons I chose to use it is becuase of the support for WPML. However, I can’t seem to get the two running together. Whenever, I run WPML, the events organiser plugin doesn’t work. No events are displayed in the front end when using the [eo_events] shortcode and when I use the calender shortcode it displays the calender but with no events in it. Also in the admin area, it doesn’t list any of the events. I know I can still add them and they are saved to the database but it just doesn’t show them.

When I then disable WPML, it all works great. I am using quite an old version of WPML but I was just wondering if you were aware of any conflicts with any version of WPML?

    Thanks,

    Roperjonathan

    Hi Roperjonathan,

The plug-in hasn’t been tested with WPML. I’ve seen some sites work with it, but I’ve also heard reports, like these, of a conflict. I hope nowhere it’s stated that the plug-in is compatible with WPML because this has not been tested. If it is, please let me know and I’ll remove it.

(You may find that you have to “update” the events in the different languages.)

Multi-lingual support has been requested a few times. At the moment, I’m looking into support for Code For the People’s Babble Plug-in. There’s no ETA yet unfortunately, but if you want Event Organiser to work with a Multilingual plug-in, that’ll be the one to start using ?? (it’s free!).

Thanks for getting back to me Stephen

You are right that it doesn’t say that Events Organiser doesn’t work with WPML. I must have just made an assumption since the calender shortcode seemed to display the months in French.

Thanks for pointing me to Babble though. If an update to WPML doesn’t work, I’ll have to have a look at it.
