File settings remains after deactivation and delete?

  • So… I deactivated the Postman SMTP plugin and then deleted it. Then I reinstalled it and then activated it to check. It appears to retain the settings.

    1. Is there a way to remove cleanly? If so, how or where do I look in the file manager to delete the proper files?

    2. After deactivation and deletion, does the “WordPress email system” or “used email to configure” go back to the “original WordPress setting”?
