• Hello,

I have tried out your plugin on both my live site and staging site (which is an exact copy of the live site). It is working on the staging site but not the live site. On the live site, when I do either bulk update or single image update the spinning wheel just stays and never goes away until I refresh the page. On refresh, the renaming has worked (but only on the first image if I try bulk updating).

The only thing I can really think that could be causing the discrepancy between live and staging is Cloudflare. I am wondering if there are any known issues with Cloudflare (Caching, Firewall, etc.) and your plugin?

    Hi @mkctu,
I’m sorry for my late reply, I didn’t see your post ??

I can’t try Phoenix Media Rename on Cloudflare because I don’t have any website hosted on their services, but I’ll try to find some information online, I think there is some issues with ajax calls on Cloudflare server.

No problem at all, I appreciate you looking into this!

As a plugin author, the least I can do is investigate the issues encountered by my users ^^

I didn’t find any useful information to address this issue, in a couple of days I’ll release a new version with some major changes (I finished the test a few minutes ago, but I prefer not to deploy the update before the weekend).

I’ll do some other research next week and let you know if I find something.

    Hi,

We are having the exact same issue. I started using the plugin today and as the OP describes in their post, when I try to bulk-update files the spinning dots appear and then nothing. I refresh after a while but only the first file has been renamed. We are also developing on a staging site and use Cloudflare for both staging and live.

    Hi @monologuehq,
thank you for reporting, this confirms that there is a problem with CloudFlare.

I don’t have any hosting on CloudFlare, can someone try a development version of Phoenix Media Rename to help me addressing the issue?

We don’t use Cloudflare for hosting either – we just run our DNS through it and use their free SSL cert for the site.

    Hi all,
I just released version 3.2.0 that adds the new option “debug mode”.

The option will show full error messages during the rename process, instead of the short one, this way it will be easier to address the issues.

Can you try to enable the option and report me the full message? Please send the full message to [email protected], the message can contain sensible information on your server, it is better to avoid making this kind of information public.
