Our shop just began having this problem, which I see has happened to others. Our downloadable products themselves can be access/downloaded directly from the media library, but when accessed via the download links in the order confirmation page or from the confirmation email, it says “File not found Go to shop”.

I have changed the download method to “Redirect Only (insecure)” temporarily.

Please let me know how to remedy this issue, and also, how can I make the downloads from the download link open into a new window/tab?

    Thanks in advance.

Maybe I can get GoDaddy tech support to do it….

The second step is one that requires the help of your hosting company.

On the brighter side, you can try the third step

Thank you, Oyadeyi. Step three worked. Couldn’t do step two because we are hosted with WP Engine and they say they don’t support that module.

Does WooCommerce plan a patch for this?

    Thanks again.

The issue is a rather server-based one so I don’t think a fix from WooCommerce is available at the moment. You can follow up the bug report here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/30288

    Hi there,

It’s been a while since we last heard back from you. I’m going to mark this thread as resolved.

As outlined by @oaoyadeyi this is server-based and you’d need help from your host to properly configure it to work. This isn’t something that WooCommerce can realistically do on your behalf.
