Hello. I recently sold my first digital product on my Woo store. However, the customer contacted me and said that she could not download the file attached. It said ‘File Not Found’. I checked the product and the file is attached correctly. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi there, potential customers sending messages that are unable to proceed/complete a check out,as cart was lost!!! I m using 2021 v2 theme

,anybody can help! I m the site administrator without any softwate particular knowledge…thank you for your time.

    Hello there @littlehoundcreative,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I understand your concern about the digital product giving an error message of file not found. As you are the store owner, could you try performing a test purchase of the same item and confirm if you are able to download the product from your end?

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi @symkrilag,

I suggest that you start a new thread with your case, so that we don’t mix several troubleshooting sessions in one thread.

    Thanks!

    Hi @littlehoundcreative,

The “File Not Found” error usually occurs when the file’s URL is incorrect, or the file has been moved or deleted from the server.

Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Make sure the file URL is correct and the file is located on the server where the URL is pointing.
    2. Ensure the file permissions are set correctly on your server. The file should be readable by the webserver.
    3. Try deleting the current file and re-uploading it to see if this resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, could you share a screenshot of your product’s file settings?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Shameem! Thanks for your help.

I found a solution. I uploaded the file to my media library on Showit (my website host) and copied the link into the product file link. Now it seems to work ok ??
