• Hey there,

I am currently doing a rebrand. I was building the new site on the old WordPress site with the URL above.

When I changed the domain name in settings,it stopped me from logging in and said File not found.

I reported the feedback to my hosting company and now we have a new site up and running in WordPress BUT with no previous build. Meaning all the work I did on the old site, hasn’t came up here.

I copied and sent the solution from your team to my hosting company and they weren’t sure what to do. My worry is that my client had a bad fall out with one of the previous hosting company, where she had this Domain bought and hosted. They aren’t willing to help.

I’m hoping for a quicker solution.

Is there any possibility of accessing this old site in the URL above, to make a back up and then upload it to the new site? OR transfer all my work from the old site to the new site?

    Best,
    Mikaella

  • Hello Mikaella,

In case you have access to the Old site via Wp-Admin, we can try to install a plugin like Duplicator or All in one Migration, and grab the backup.

Can you please try this and see if that helps.

    Thank You!
