File Manager Will Not Load

    The file manager plugin will not load, I am not getting any errors. The file manager will simply stay blank while displaying the message, “Open Folder”

    Any help would be appreciated,

  • it does not work with wp 5.6. They removed jquery migrate. allmy website have same issue.

    Need to install Enable Jquery Migrate plugin and change jquery back to older version using that plugin

    As @kattouf pointed out above this issue is due to jQuery changes in WP5.6 and installing jQuery migrate with said settings solves the problem ~ at least temporarily.

    It’s a conflict to do with jQuery and jQuery UI versions.

    The plugin author should be aware that the plugin loads an old version of jQuery UI, i.e. v1.11.4 – 2015-03-11, even though the file name “plugins/wp-file-manager/lib/jquery/jquery-ui-1.12.0.js” suggests differently!

    On the short term use the workaround @kattouf suggests.

    Conflict with Slider Revolution, just a blank interface.

    Won’t work even trying various versions of Jquery Migrate.

    I have the same problem (i.e. file manager does not show up except for “WP File Manager”), but in my case, deactivating the GoDaddy Worker plugin (i.e. ManageWP worker) allows WP File Manager to work.

    I admin 2 different but more or less identical websites on 2 separate servers. On one Filemanager works okay, on the other one it loads the folders, but not the files. Deactivating Wordfence makes it work normal, however on the other server I apparently have no need for deactivating Wordfence…

    Still no update to fix with WP 5.6?

    @sahildhier6, I’d recommend you use a different plugin if this one is broken. I started using Filester after troubles with the update and never looked back.
