• I was forced to add this as a new thread, as I originally added it as a comment on an existing thread, but it was deleted and then locked…

    The behaviour of keeping this file, which purportedly is retained due to its reuse by other plugins from this publisher, is not inline with best practices, and, in my personal opinion, looks dodgy as hell.

    Having your plugin create a new file outside of that plugin’s folder is poor form, and is a common thumbprint of malicious software. Regardless of the purpose of this file. There is no good reason for it to be done this way.

    however, about topic:

    in your previous reply, i could have had more agreement with your (that) reply, but after explaining our justification, you now made a more radical statement, in which, i would totally disagree with you (in your previous reply, i could have agree on some parts at least, and replied you).

    so, I won’t argue with you. you can abandon using our plugins. The only thing that we are preparing, it to create the uninstaller hook.
