I have Webalizer Reporting on my website which updates the statistics every 24 hours in a /stat folder. Although I have entered this folder in the “Files/Directories To Ignore:” section, I still get an email every day that a file has changed in exactly this folder!

The entry for the Ignore looks like this:
    /homedirectory/websitemaster/public_html/stats/

Email entry which I get every day when the scanner is running:

The following files were changed on your host:

    /homedirectory/websitemaster/public_html/stats/daily_usage_202012.png (modified on: 2020-12-16 03:59:01)
    /homedirectory/websitemaster/public_html/stats/usage_202012.html (modified on: 2020-12-16 03:59:01)
    Etc.
    ======================================

How can I get the Ignore working that I do not get this emails every day?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

The entry for the Ignore looks like this:
    /homedirectory/websitemaster/public_html/stats/

Try only typing the folder name stats without any forward slash.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately it’s still the same like before after removing the forward slash from the path. I still get emails with changes on that folder.

Hi, did you type only stats without the full URL?

    For example:

    type only stats

    instead of /homedirectory/websitemaster/public_html/stats
