File Block showing as Image

    Historically, I have been able to add a file link to a PDF. Today, when I try to add a File Link, it is pulling the entire scrollable PDF, with the option to download. Is this a glitch or a permanent change (please be a glitch!)

  • Hi @lynnb62! This is a feature of the new block editor. Fortunately, you have the option to disable the PDF embed (which is what makes the whole document show up on your page). When editing the page, you should see a section called PDF settings on the block settings panel to the right. In that section you can disable the embed. This will make it show just the filename and the download button. The download button can also be removed in a setting further down the block settings panel.

    Hopefully disabling that gets you the view you’re expecting!
