File Block PDF Show inline embed opening issue

    Is there a way to change the File Block settings to always toggle off the Show inline embed option?
    I know when I add a File block and upload a PDF I need to uncheck the Show inline embed toggle button and choose the Show download button and open in new tab… but my client, who likes to do this on their own, keeps forgetting to do this.
    When he does forget, it causes the page to embed the pdf, in the same tab and instead of showing the PDF embedded within the page, it opens the PDF and blocks the rest of the page from being viewed. All you see is the PDF and nothing on the page.
    WORSE yet, the same thing happens when I go to edit the page and change the settings. I wait for the page to load and before I can edit it, the PDF loads over it and I cannot get to the page to edit it. I have to try over and over again to load the page and then stop the load before the PDF opens, only then, can I make the changes to the settings and update the page.
    Is there ANY way to change the settings in the plugin so Show inline embed is not automatically turned on??? This would save so much frustration.
    PS I cannot share the page because it is a protected membership website and privileged pdf docs.

    Here is a webpage that is doing exactly what I am talking about – the directions for the embed pdf page automatically opens the cute kitten PDF and I cannot read the page it was embedded upon.

    Sorry I only received the last message on my email.
    The link I tried to share that day apparently went right to the pdf and not the page that had the pdf open on it, so I guess that didn’t help you.
    I just tried it again on my website and Now it is working… the embed feature that is. So maybe this has been fixed? I do appreciate THAT update – However, my main request was to have the PDF settings be set to NOT embed (Toggle Show inline embed OFF Automatically) as my customer is not going to remember this step many times and apparently this embed feature has been an on-going issue for years.
