    Hi,

    The file bgheader.jpg is 168kB. This is a lot for a file which represent a gradiant of colors !
    My opinion is that there is an impact on the performance.
    The file can be compressed up to 324 bytes without any visible impact.

    Firstly image size of 168kB should not have much impact on performance,
    but you can compress the image using some image editor or online image compressor web application.

    No, 168kB is 10% of 1.44 MB …

    This size is directly pointed by google page speed as a performance problem.
    I’ve manually optimized the size myself, but an upgrade in the theme file will solve the problem on all users on this theme.
