File attachment problem

    Removing m y own inquiry: I found an error I made in the configuration.
    Hi,
    I need to allow file attachment in CF7 forms, and I have gone through the instructions I found at:

    Unfortunately it just does not work, yielding a generic error.
    I tried to troubleshoot myself and with no luck:
    I went to the directory
    wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_uploads
    (it was there, so I guess the plugin created it)
    and found only a .htaccess file with one row saying
    Deny from all
    Please note that my site is on windows server, so I believe a .htaccess file is ignored, never the less I commented that line out
    #Deny from all
    just to be on the safe side.
    But the form keeps yielding an error.
    Other forms with no file attachment work fine.
    Is it something related to being on windows server?
    Could you please help to sort this out?
