• I’m sure this has a very simple solution, but I am trying to host a file on my server (file less than 1MB) for direct access. Since I have WordPress installed in the root directory, if I try to access that file through html I get redirected to a 404 on my site. I put it into its own subfolder but the same thing happens. Is there any simple way I can host a file through html without being redirected like this?
    Thanks!

    Hmm… no ideas then? Perhaps if I show the example;
    I’ve uploaded “agallamh.wav” (an 800KB file) to the public html folder through FTP. So theoretically I should be able to access it the same way I did before I installed WordPress, by https://www.irishpolyglot.com/agallamh.wav
    But if you try that you will get redirected. I am using a plugin called gengo to manage languages so that may contribute since it ads on the language tag. Is there any way to avoid this happening? I have 100MB paid server space that I would like to use…
    Thanks for any advice!
