    Hello,

Does BackWPup exclude files preceded by an underscore character.

At least one Theme.co Pro file named _.php, was not explicitly excluded but wasn’t backed up, making my backups totally useless.

I found this out the hard way when I went to restore my site.

    Thanks,
    Neal

Apparently BackWPup isn’t excluding these files. I placed some in another site and they were backup up without a problem.

I’m wondering if the theme itself is preventing certain files from being backed up.

    Hi @nabrams62
Could you please update BackWPUp to the latest 3.6.2 then try again?
    Thank you!

    Hello @duongcuong96

Here’s what I did last night:

    * I created a brand new WordPress install on a staging site.
    * Installed the X Pro theme as before. Added a few media uploads.
    * Installed the latest version of BackWPup available.
    * Did a backup to Dropbox.

Fully extracted the backup with 7zip (viewing alone doesn’t show all the files in the top folder).

_.php file was missing (and who knows what else for that matter!).

I have to rebuild the new site I was working on from scratch. ??

    Hi @nabrams62
Sorry to hear that, but what exactly BWU version did you using now?
    Thank you

    Hi @duongcuong96,

I’m sorry, but I decided to remove BWU from this site and go with with Duplicator Pro.
