    Have Google Drive authenticated, and get this message/error at top of UpdraftPlus settins page:

    Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account. However, subsequent access attempts failed:
    required: The ‘fields’ parameter is required for this method.

    Additionally, backups no longer work

    Hi,

    Please can you provide a link to your log file for a problematic backup? (You can download it from the “Existing Backups” tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).

    It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    David,

    I did as you requested but have heard nothing since. I cannot backup at all because of this issue. Is there a problem with the plugin and using Google Drive?

    Hi,

    Apologies, the backup log that you sent shows that no remote storage method was selected at the time. Please could you re-enable Google Drive and take a fresh test backup?

    This was the 2nd time – the error I get at the top of the page is probably the issue wouldn’t you agree?

    It has been several days since my last post and a response. Is this an issue that is new to you? Are you not able to solve? I need to know so I can select a different Backup provider.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay. Please could you take a test backup to Google Drive and sent us a copy of the log?

    This is likely to contain further information on the error than the on-screen message.

    Log from where? Your Updraft log? If so, why do a test? Isn’t the log file of the failed backup enough?

    I need more information on exactly what you need. And for test backup, where and how is that accomplished?

    Is there a way to get a faster response or open up a chat so I can resolve this? I need to start backing up successfully right away.

    Not sure what happened but clearly this is an issue with your plugin that you cannot solve. Would have been nice if you at least responded in a timely and professional manner.

    Having the exact same issue, with latest version 1.13.12

    Using the Google Drive simple authentication method as outlined here: https://updraftplus.com/support/using-updraftplus-google-drive-app/

    However, Updraft Plus displays the following at the top of the UDP options page:

    “Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account. However, subsequent access attempts failed:
    required: The ‘fields’ parameter is required for this method.”

    I have wiped settings, deactivated the plugin, deleted the plugin and reactivated. Nothing works, not even the “complex” method.

    Hi,

    Do you have Duplicator Pro also installed on the site?
    If so, please could you deactivate it and try to authenticate again?

    Thanks for the response. I was the one who uncovered the conflict between Updraft Plus and Duplicator Pro (and have been in touch with your support team via email). If UDP support releases this fix, I suppose we can mark this resolved.
