Fields not saving values after page translated

I have ACF along with Polylang on a website for a country house in Italy. We have custom fields on the english set of pages and also on duplicated pages for the Italian versions. So far so good. But as soon as I set the duplicated pages to become the italian versions of the english page, the custom fields don’t display any values i.e. drop down fields are blank etc..

If I look at the field group, in Location the page titles have changed and the italian pages don’t display (as if they dont exist) in the list of pages to select as a location.

I have spoken to ACF support and they have advised me that as the “translations” option isn’t appearing in the field group settings which is injected in from Polylang then the issue may lie with you guys and to get in touch for you to advise.
