    When I try to upload an updated file with new data to existing posts the data isn’t saved to my posts, it just stays empty or unmodified. When I create new posts with the import I get all the data I want.

    Am I missing something? The problem occurs with ACF-fields as well as with default WordPress fields (title).

    I was going to create a post on the “WP All Import – WP Job Manager Add-On” support page until I saw this. I am having the same issue with new data to existing job listings for WP Job Manager. New job listings seem fine but existing job listing are having similar issues.

    When I try to upload an updated file with new data to existing posts the data isn’t saved to my posts, it just stays empty or unmodified.

    There are 2 ways to update existing posts:

    1. If they were created with a “New Items” import, you can update the file, upload it to the existing import, and re-run it: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import.

    2. If they were created manually, or by a different import, you can use Manual Record Matching: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/.

    Both of these methods rely on the Import Settings (step 4 for a new import, Manage Imports -> Import Settings for an existing one) to decide what will be updated. Please check the settings and make sure that “Update existing products with changed data in your file” is enabled and that the Title and ACF fields are set to be updated.

    If the update fails again, can you post the import history log (or at least one entry from it where the data wasn’t updated)?

    Update on my issue with the new data to existing job listings… after a few frustrating days, the issue magically fixed itself, which in some ways is even more frustrating. Regardless, things are working fine at the moment.

    Sorry for the late replay @wpallimport, I have been on vacation.
    I had the same experience as @tjalexander70 so that it magically worked after a few days.

    @wpallimport Okay I think I celebrated too early, it stopped working again… When I look in the log files I can see the new data but it still doesn’t show up on my website or in the admin but it worked once one or two weeks ago.

    That’s really strange. Please replicate this issue at https://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ and open a ticket at https://www.wpallimport.com/support/. We’re really going to need to see this in action to understand why the data isn’t showing up on your website.
