    Hi there,

I’m really glad I found this plugin!! There is no way I could have figured out how to create a js plugin on my own ??

I’m just wondering what happens when a field attached to a post/page/CPT/tax-term isn’t displayed on that post/page/CPT/tax-term, but elsewhere on the site using a shortcode (like in the content of another page/post/CPT/tax-term, for example).

Since Yoast now processes shortcodes found in the content, I’m assuming that fields displayed with a shortcode are processed by Yoast automatically now.

And I assume this plugin only adds fields to the content analysis of the post/page/CPT/tax-term to which they are attached. Is that right?

If so, then I’m wondering if I should exclude those fields since they shouldn’t be analyzed where they’re located and Yoast should already be analyzing them where they’re displayed. Can you confirm this please? Also, if I do exclude those fields, would that somehow prevent Yoast from analyzing them via the shortcode processing I would then be depending on? I’m assuming it wouldn’t, but better safe than sorry…

    Many thanks!

    Hi!
You are right, this plugin only checks the fields that are attached to the post, so you shouldn’t have to exclude those fields!

Nice to hear you like this plugin!

    Thanks, Viktor!

I’d just like to confirm something, and then I’m good to go ??

-I can tell that the plugin is including fields in the content analysis for posts. I assume it works for pages and CPTs as well. Is that right?

-I’m having a hard time figuring out if it works for taxonomy terms, though. Can you confirm if the plugin is meant to work with taxonomy terms, too?

    Thanks!

    Hi again!
Yes, it works for pages and CPT as well.

I just released a new version of the plugin that has support for taxonomies!
