Fields are suddenly missing from Custom Post Type both in the Pods dashboard, in Custom Type editor, and front-end. We are able to find that the data is still in using the WPML Translation editor and comparing two different languages. Otherwise I can not see the data.

When I click edit on the Custom Post Type I get “Invalid Pod configuration detected”.he Custom Post Type seems to be corrupted and when I tried to create a new content type that got corrupted too. Everything is fine until we start translating with WPML. The Custom Taxonomies are not effected.

    – WordPress 5.8.3
    – Pods 2.8.8.1
    – WPML 3.2.0

    Hi @hnolson

We’ll need more information to debug this.
Have you checked for plugin conflicts? https://docs.pods.io/faqs/plugin-theme-conflicts/

By turning off all the WPML plugins and removing a depreciated WPML plugin, I know have all the English (original language) working. I still do not have my Pods translated unlike my other multi-language sites.

    Here they are:

    https://iwillgo2020.org/the-objectives/mission-objectives-kpis/
    https://www.sharinghope.com/featured/

If I try to recreate the Pods I am told that Pod names are already in use. When I turn the WPML translation side-by-side comparison of fields I can see that that all the Pods data is still in the database, but it does not show when I edit the custom content type.

This site WAS working without an issue for quite a while.

I also updated WPML to the latest versions.

    – WPML Multilingual CMS 4.5.2
    – WPML Media 2.7.0
    – WPML SEO 2.0.1
    – WPML String Translation 3.2.0

I have the same or similar problem on all my websites using pods after I updated the pods plugin.
Everything is fine for the default language version. Ror other languages, the custom posts types are available but the custom fields are not showing when I want to edit the post.

    Hi @hnolson and @npeigner

Could it be that Pods CPT’s are set to be translatable? (Pods, Pods Fields and Pods Groups).
If so, please disable translations for these CPT’s.

    Cheers, Jory

    Hello,

I tried both: with a translatable status and without.
    Doesn’t change anything.

    Hi @npeigner

This sounds like a different issue.
I also cannot reproduce what you describe, can you reproduce the same behavior on a clean installation with only WPML and Pods active?

    Cheers, Jory
