    Hello,

Thanks for the great plugin just started using it up – really loved single meta save feature as i have many custom fields, will review it once i set it up fully.

One issue i am facing is that i have created a “Taxonomies” Field for “Post” Type with “Category” Allowed Taxonomy and one Top Level Category “Format: childs” as Allowed Term.

I have following Category structure (more than 1 nested level i.e Format > Media > Gif –

    -Format
    –Article
    –Listicle
    –Media
    —Image
    —Gif
    —Video

But in the post editor screen field is only showing one (next) level children as choices i.e.
    –Article
    –Listicle
    –Media
No Image, Gif, Video (child of child-media)

I can add “Media: childs” to Allowed Terms but that would be manual stuff as i have very deep nested levels plus will need to update manually every than and now when another level of child term is added.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Hello!

Thanks for the feedback! It looks like you’re talking about the Taxonomy Terms field. You’re right, the “Format: Childs” option only display the direct childs of “Format”, and doesn’t go deeper.

In the next update I’ll add a new option: “Format: All childs”, which will list any childs related to the term, as deeper as possible. “Format: Childs” will be renamed to “Format: Direct childs” to make things more clear.

Here are some screenshots showing that setting: https://imgur.com/a/ExhXR2i

The feature is ready, but I have to add others things before pushing the new version.

If you want, you can use it right now tho. To do so, please follow this instructions:

    Open this link: https://gist.github.com/acf-extended/0bd1326e90653b13e211c4f819499c97

Copy all the code, paste it and replace everything in the file: \acf-extended\includes\fields\field-taxonomy-terms.php

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

OK perfect. Will do that for the time being and will wait for next release. Thanks for the great work.

Related Issue – I don’t found “Taxonomies” Field with “Select” set to render (ui) as expected as i cannot search terms + “Parent: Childs” as a option in “Select” UI comes after every child term like –

    -Format
    -Format: Childs
    –Article
    –Format: Childs
    –Listicle

Working search & below structure could be better i believe –
    -Format
    -Format: All Childs
    -Format: Direct Childs
    –Article
    –Listicle
