field name and email are missing

    Hi wpdiscuss,

    Firstable, thanks for this plugin ??

    I made the choice that everyone can post a topic. However, in the new topic form the name and email fields are missing. So in the list of topic we don’t know who are posting this topic ‘started by : ‘ is empty.

    do you have a snippet code to resolve my problem ?

    Glad to have you using our plugin! ??

    Only registered users are able to start topics and reply to topics. Therefore, the name and email field are not required as they are added when a user registers for the forum.

    The link you provided is not valid. Could you send me a link to your forum so that I can see what is happening on your side?

    The functionality of having only user being able to post and reply can be overwritten using code, but then you will need to overwrite the reply/comment form.

    Unfortunately, my website is not yet online. And I don’t know why this link is present in my question. I had to insert a link unintentionally ??

    Otherwise, yes I want the user / guest to be able to create a topic without registering on the forum. So, how to insert name and email address fields in the new topic form

    Hi there,

    As mentioned, unfortunately only users can create topics and replies. They need to register before a person can use the forum.
