Field in Options vs bloginfo parameter

  • The relationship between the various bloginfo() parameter values and the corresponding field on the Options page, as well as other information locations, is not always completely clear. The Codex page for Template Tags/Bloginfo is very helpful, but it also leaves open some mysteries.

    For example: ‘rss2_url’ – URL for RSS 2.0 feed.
    doesn’t say anything about where that information is found (or set by the blog owner).

    I wonder if the page referenced above might be enhanced with that additional information, and if the page describing the Options page might contain the same information (at least as far as the fields on that page are concerned).
