    Hi there,

I have a query regarding the Field Group visibility rules.

The visibility rules work perfectly on the first default field group that is visible on the form. However, once a user clicks on the “Add Item” button and an additional field group is added there seems to be a few issues.

The rules become intertwined and mixed between field groups and the result is confusing for the user.

Is it possible to have each additional Field Group that the user has added to act independently from each other with regards to rules? They can act on the same original rules that are applied to the main Field Group but to each be validated separately and not influenced by selections in previous Field Groups.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regard

I’ve added an example below to better explain the issue.

    _____
    FIELD GROUP

    – Dropdown
    – – Option 1
    – – Option 2

    – Option 1 Field (Visibility Rule: if Dropdown is Option 1 – then display this)

    – Option 2 Field (Visibility Rule: if Dropdown is Option 2 – the display this)
    ______
    (Add item)

If the user clicks on “Add Item” and a additional Field Group is added, the visibility rules from the first Field Group break the 2nd Field Group.

For example – If I choose Option 2 from the Dropdown in the 1st Field Group, it will display correctly, however, once I’ve clicked “Add Item” and select Option 1 from the dropwdown in the 2nd Field Group the rule will not work and it is broken.

    Hi @aidba55

I hope you are doing good today.

I was able to replicate this issue on my lab site. I’m reporting this as a bug to our Forminator Team. Right now there is no hotfix available, although our developers will work on it.

Once the hotfix will be out, we will post an update it in this thread.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
