Fictive – Any issues with Fictive and WP 4.0?

    I don’t want to upgrade to WP 4.0 unless I know the theme supports it. Since Fictive was created by WP/Automattic, can I assume it does? Has anybody had any issues with it?

  • It looks like that theme has been recently updated, so it probably will work fine with 4.0. More likely you would have issues with various plugins that you could have installed.

    I’m running Fictive fine on my test site with WordPress 4, and I haven’t seen any problems around compatibility. It’s always a good idea to follow best practices when updating, such as backing up your database and files first, and deactivating all your plugins before running the update in case one has a conflict. Good luck!

    Cool. Good to hear that. Thanks for the upgrade tips too. I’m always very careful about things like that, especially in a plugin-heavy environment with many third party vendors affecting a site.

    I did back up before updating last night. Everything seems to be fine so far.
