    Hello there,

I have few questions about the plugin.

I’m exporting the orders then opening the CSV with LibreOffice 5.
Then I save the file as .xlsx to edit it in Excell.
After that, I copy/paste the content in Google Sheets and export it as CSV, Then I import the file. Is this a correct way doing the things?

I’m recently updating my site while being in staging mode. So I want to import all the orders from my active shop to my inactive one. I deleted all the orders in the inactive one. How to import all the orders with all the details and meta?

I saw there is an error with the order numbers, may I just add a letter or a number to the order number to avoid duplicates?

    Thank you!

    Hi @cecowe,

The steps that you have followed seem to be OK. In fact, you can use the LibreOffice application itself to copy content from Google sheets and save it as a CSV file.

If you are trying to import orders from one Woocommerce site to another then you may please export the orders from the live site using the plugin and then import the exported CSV file on the staging site to import all the order details. However, the metadata will not be imported as it is one of our premium features. You may have a look at the premium version of the plugin which supports metadata.
For a better understanding of the CSV columns and data format, you can go through the documentation.

There are chances of ID conflict to occur when importing orders to a site. In that case, you may please either delete the order ID column or else you may please change the ID present in the Order ID column so that ID conflict can be overcome. The order number will be automatically generated based on the order ID and will not be duplicated.

    Hello @webtoffee ,
Thank you for responding so quick.
How may I preserve the old order numbers because conflict occurs every time I try?
I mean can I just add the letter “C” for example after the order ID and Import it?
It will be a complete mess if order Id’s are changed with automatically generated numbers.

    Hi @cecowe,

If you are required to preserve the order number data then you may please use our Sequential order number plugin so that the orders will be imported with the same order number as in the CSV even if the ID of the orders are different. You may please just install the Sequential order number plugin and then import the orders with the order ID data deleted/modified.
