Hi there i play around with a new Theme called Pennews. Mostly all fine, i found an issue with WPAdverts regarding Features Images.

Under each single “Post” there is a short overwiew with related posts, this posts are showing other Adverts from WPAdverts BUT without the Image, there is place an ugly grey placeholder (which comes from the theme). I like to replace this placeholder with the current image of the Advert postings… The them Support says:

The image doesn’t display because you’ve not added the featured image for this post type.

Please check your custom post type settings, make sure you’ve enabled the feature image option then upload for each posted item.

    and this

You should check it from the Classified Ads plugin. The content of your link comes from a custom post type by the plugin you’ve installed.

Maybe this would be a soulution? And if so how can i do it properly?

    Hi,
by default, the Featured Images functionality is disabled for the Classifieds (as it usually results in a blank square above the Ad title).

In your case it seems that enabling it makes sense, so you can go to the wp-admin / Classifieds / Options / Core / Types panel, edit “Classifieds”, and in the “Supports” check the “Thumbnail (Featured Image)” and save the form.

Now on the Ad details the image you have selected as featured in the Ad gallery (the one that shows with a flag icon in the top right) should be displayed as the featured image.

    Hi Again,

i found a way to hid the similar posts under each entry that helpd already, because the “trick” with the featured image was not helping :-/ But for me this is solved now ??
