Hi, all our feed categories stopped working after update. They’re still there but the widgets say, “Sorry, this feed is currently unavailable or does not exist anymore.”

  • I’ll check this out.

Yesterday I decided to change the link for my feed that was “unavailable” and I was able to get a feed to display, just not for the exact set of articles I wanted.

    For example:

https://www.example.com/topic/feed/ (this had quit working, “unavailable” message)
https://www.example.com/feed/ (did display general articles, not topic-specific)

Question: Does this patch also address the visibility of images in the feed? My other issue with Feedzy Lite (aside from the “unavailable” message), is that the images were not appearing on some, not all, of the articles. The articles did have images, and the feed had previously worked okay. I have been in contact with tech support about this.

    Hello,

Could you please confirm that the issue has been resolved?

    Thank you.

    Hello Silviu-Alex,

On my site, updating the plugin did not resolve the issue with a feed being shown as “unavailable.” I removed the feed link that was getting the error and put in a different link to another feed, and that different link worked.

Updating to 3.4.4. did not cause my original feed link to work, however.

Question: Does v. 3.3.4 address the visibility of thumbnail images in a feed? So far I have not gotten a complete answer on this. Do you know if this version addresses thumbnail image visibility also, and if not, is ThemeIsle working on it?

    Oops.

“Updating to 3.4.4. did not cause my original feed link to work, however.”

    Updating to 3.3.4, not 3.4.4. ??

@commontater can we close the issue pertinent to the title? Please open a different thread with your other question.

The Feedzy feeds began working better after I redid some of the links.

Some of my feeds, however, still do not consistently pull in the thumbnail images from articles that have images. I have replaced the default Feedzy logo (which is supposed to take the place of the article’s thumbnail where there is no image) with my site’s logo. I do see my logo appearing on some articles in some feeds.

So this is fixed, but not with 100% consistency. See this link for an example:

    https://bit.ly/2TqpQh1

Also note that where an image has transparency (a GIF or PNG) I can see part of my default logo underneath the article’s image.

The article’s image should replace the default logo, not simply display on top of it.

For me, the problem happens when using comma separated feeds in the shortcode or the categories.

First, it takes forever to save the page when the shortcode contains more than one feed source and then it returns “Feed has no items.” when I visit the page.

I can confirm that adding multiple shortcodes with one feed each, they all work.

All the feed links I am trying are WordPress feeds.
    Feedzy 3.3.4, WP 4.9.9

I hope this helps to solve the problem.

Currently I am using Feedzy Lite and I have one link per feed, no comma-separated feeds in the categories. I found that adding multiple feeds to one category did not work, that is, it did not pull in feeds from multiple sources, only one of the specified links.

I gathered from the documentation that Feedzy Lite did not allow multiple feeds in one category but that Feedzy Pro did (so I removed any additional links).

Feedzy Lit is working better with 3.3.4, but sometimes I do not get the thumbnail image even though the article has an image.

Question to @akhasis – Which version are you using: Feedzy Pro or Feedzy Lite?

    @commontater I’m using Feedzy Lite
