I’m using Feedzy Lite (I’ve never had pro) and the plugin is importing my posts, but only from one feed category. When it imports the post, it applies two categories (I’ve removed the categories from the sample link here).

Source link is a Grav site at https://teaching.madland.ca/edci335-may-2020/home.rss and the same happens with https://teaching.madland.ca/edci335-may-2020/home.atom

Here is the shortcode I’m using
    [feedzy-rss feeds="colin" max="50" offset="0" feed_title="no" refresh="1_hours" lazy="yes" target="_blank"?? summary="yes" summarylength="160" default="https://edtechuvic.ca/edci335/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2020/05/WordPress-logotype-alternative.png" size="150" ]

I do not want posts to be imported. I have never asked Feedzy to import my posts because I have no way of doing so.

    Help?

    @cmadland

    • what makes you think feedzy is importing posts?
    • Can you share a screenshot of the feedzy menu on the backend along with its sub menu items?
    • Please also share a screenshot of the screen that shows these imported posts listed on the backend
    • I am assuming that you have no other component that does this. Please confirm this assumption as well

Shortly after I publish on my own blog (teaching.madland.ca/edci335-may-2020), the post is published on the other site (edtechuvic.ca/edci335), including a link bck to the original site.

    Here is the menu:
    feedzy menu

    And the posts…

    posts

When they show up in my site, they are always published right away with the categories ‘Instructors’ and ‘Colin’.

You can see a sample at week 3

I don’t know of any other component doing this…

@cmadland I’m not sure I understand the relationship between the two sites. Can you please clarify it?

Also, Feedzy does not import posts. There is something else at play here. You may want to disable all your plugins to find out what’s really happening.

There should be no connection between the two sites aside from a feedzy category on edtechuvic.ca/edci335 (a WordPress site) that is subscribed to teaching.madland.ca/edci335-may-2020/home.rss (a Grav site, not WordPress).

I know Feedzy Lite doesn’t import posts, but Pro does, no?

For a brief time I had embedded an Inoreader feed on a page, but that is since deleted.

flummoxed…Feedzy is the only thing that makes sense, even though it doesn’t make sense!

Could it be the .rss or .atom extension on the grav feed?

@cmadland you are correct that feedzy pro downloads stuff but only if you use that particular functionality and not through the shortcode. So whatever is happening is because of some other component in your infrastructure. Can you please disable all other plugins (and any caching components in other parts of your infrastructure) and test with the default WordPress theme?
