• I moved my WordPress site to a brand new server, everything works great….expect FeedWordpress. I migrated everything by the book. I can press to update feeds all I want, but it doesn’t fetch new posts from the feeds.

I tried fixing it by installing missed scheduled posts & WP-Cron control plugins. Didn’t fix the problem.

Any help how to solve this?

  • You might try clearing the cache for FeedWordPress under maintenance (or whatever its called).

Resave permalinks; then optimize db and clear ‘transients’ using wp-optimize plugin.

Also, try uninstalling it via FTP entirely, then re-installing clean copy.

your new server might not have cURL or fOPEN running to ‘fetch’ feeds at all. Try switching on debug mode and see what errors you get.

@neotrope Thanks! I re-installed it and removed all feeds. I checked if Curl is installed (see terminal output).

Weird thing is: when I add a feed, it doesn’t seem to recognize anything in the feed, see screenshot. All feeds that worked now give that same result while adding.

Any know reasons why it can’t recognize posts in the feed?

I’ve pinpointed the problem. On a clean install with Apache webserver, everything runs fine. Same clean install on Nginx and the fetching doesn’t work.

I’m guessing the install misses some package(s). Anyone have a clue how to get it fixed on Nginx?
