Feeds not updating since Ubuntu 16.04 upgrade

    I updated to Ubuntu 16.04 last week since which my feeds no longer get any updates. I’ve checked and cron jobs are working fine, but the feeds all say “Latest 0 feed items out of 0 available” and only posts from before the upgrade appear. Turning debugging on doesn’t give me anything helpful – to all in tents and purposes it seems to be working, but isn’t.

    Any suggestions?

    I realized that the lack of PHP 7 support might be part of the issue here, so I found out how to get PHP5.6 back *but* the feeds still don’t update…

    Could you send us the RSS Feed URL you are trying to import? So that we can take a look at it.

    If you are using any of our premium add-ons, you can send them via our premium support channel.

    It was all my feeds, all of which validate fine.

    I have installed a php 5.6 set of packages and reconfigured my system to use them and all the feeds are now working so I guess it was all down to php 7

    Any idea when it will be supported ?

    Hi Rob,

    As we have mentioned here, PHP 7 supports for WP RSS Aggregator is currently under development and planned for a future update although we have no time-frame on its planning as yet.

    If you have any error logs regarding PHP 7 supports, please don’t hesitate to send it to us here.

    As we have informed to you here, we have run tests for the current version of WP RSS Aggregator (4.11.1) on PHP 5.6 and 7.x.

    So far, we have found no major compatibility issues with both PHP 5.6 and 7.x

    However, should you still encounter one, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
