I just discovered that my feeds haven’t updated in months, despite new posts in each of them. I’ve tried the update all and even the delete and delete and re-import. Nothing works. I can click “fetch” under each feed source but it never shows the new feed items. Please advise.

  • Wow. That’s a long list of plugins. This may be a very short or very long process…

    1. You may want to turn debugging on, then try to fetch feeds and see if there are any errors thrown. IF there are any, please post them here.

    2. disable all plugins, except WP RSS Aggregator and see if that fixes the problem? If this works, perhaps another plugin is having conflicts with this and you may want to enable the other plugins one by one. The problem with this approach – if there is a conflict – is you need to make certain that you have new feeds to fetch every time you test to make sure the plugin is working.

    Hope this helps.

I need to turn on WP debugging or the debugging for the plugin? Thank you.

WP debugging via wp-config.php . If the plugin has debugging option, let’s turn that on as well.

The plugin does not have a debugging option. I discovered that in addition to not updating, all of the links to the posts were blank when I used the shortcode to display the aggregated posts. Thus, I have deactivated the plugin and will just manually create a list when I write guest posts, rather than relying on this to work. Thanks for your help.

You’re most welcome. Perhaps you could try another plugin that does the same thing and is stable as well.

    Hi Gretchen,

I’m sorry to hear our plugin has stopped working for you. By any chance did you notice when it stopped working? Perhaps you installed a particular plugin or changed the theme right at that time that might have caused a conflict.

Is the plugin not importing any feed items whatsoever even when you hit “Fetch feeds”? If it does import when you click on this, you might be having issues with your WordPress cron system. Check out our documentation page on WordPress cron jobs for more information about this.

If you’re getting the “No feed items found” message when using the shortcode, first check that the feed sources are all still valid. If so, it might once again be an issue with the cron system.

If this issue persists just get back in touch and we will look into it more closely.

    Regards,

    Mark

    Mark,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I did not notice when it stopped working.

It tries to import items when I click “fetch feeds”, but nothing ever shows up. It is not giving me a “no feed items found” message.

    Hi Gretchen,

In that case it would be best to try out some of the solutions on our “Feed Items Not Importing” page. If the problem persists even after you’ve tried all of these, you can get in touch with me through our support system here.

Ask for me and I’ll try get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you, Mark. I did try most of those solutions to no avail, and decided just to forego using the plugin at this time. But I appreciate your willingness to help.
