• My blog at jasonswadley.com is only giving summaries in the RSS and atom feeds, rather than the full text. I have the option for “Full Text” selected in the Reading settings box. The feedburner plugin is deactivated.

    Thanks for your help!

I just installed 3.2 and I’m still having the same problem, as you can see here:

    https://www.jasonswadley.com/feed
    https://www.jasonswadley.com/feed/rss2

Your feed file is showing the full post. Either check the source of the feed file yourself or see https://pastebin.com/wYyYm93a

    Thanks esmi.

I just checked every available RSS reader. Safari is getting the full feed, but every other browser and reader app and even Google Reader is should the summary feed.

That tells me it’s not something on my computer’s end. Your pastebin post, along with the Safari success, tells me the full feed is at least getting out.

So that seems to narrow the problem to something about the RSS feed not producing a widely readable result.

I checked the feedburner feed, and sure enough, just where you would expect the full post, there’s only gunk. See line 23 here: https://pastebin.com/1MyT7q1k

As I’ve tried to explain, that’s pretty much all the WP can do. What happens when the feed is picked up is beyond your control a lot of the time. You might want to see if you can get any joy out of Feedburner support – especially since you now have 2 pastebin source snapshots taken within minutes of each other for them to compare.

I am sorry that we can’t help you further as I know this has been going on for a while and you must be getting really frustrated about it. I’ve tried validating your feed and apart from 1 very minor issue, it’s valid.

I really don’t know what else to suggest.
