• I’ve been having issues with Feedly pulling my RSS feed. It started about three weeks ago.

I did not make any changes to my website at this point.
I ran my feed through https://validator.w3.org/feed/ and there don’t seem to be any issues.

I contacted Feedly and they (finally) responded that their IP was blocked by my host. I contacted my host and they said that the IP was not blocked. I deactivated all plugins, reset the .htaccess file and switched to the TWENTY-TWENTYTHREE theme.

    Nothing.

Other feed readers (Bloglovin, The Older Reader) seem to be able to pull my RSS Feed (even if slightly delayed).

Does anyone know what could be going on or how to troubleshoot further?
    TIA!

  • Hi, @sannie

I was able to add your feed to my Feedly, so I think you don’t have any problem with Feedly.

Thanks for your response, Jesús. The problem is, when you first add it, it pulls “some” feed, but it doesn’t update to the lastest one (there are currently the last two posts missing) and as you can see, the last few posts show as if posted on the same day (which they were not).

There is also some odd behavior depending on how you add the feed.
If I put in https://theinbetweenismine.com/feed/ it pulls different information than if I put https://theinbetweenismine.com/feed/.

The first one also shows “unreachable”, after I added it.

I am trying to figure out if this is a WordPress problem, or if the problem is with Feedly. Their support originally said that their IP is blocked, but my hosting company confirmed that it isn’t.

    Hi @sannie

You have a 301 redirection from http to https, so it is normal that the http URL is not listed.

When I add the https feed, I get the last content from your RSS feed. Last element (May Link List) now appears as last element in the RSS feed and in Feedly, so I think it is working as expected.

    In your WordPress:

So all is working fine in your WordPress installation, and the data are well pulled to Feedly.

Hmm. I am still a bit confused. My feed always worked with https://theinbetweenismine.com/feed before… I don’t know why the redirect is now changing that behavior.

Also, Feedly still doesn’t update for me…. a friend confirmed that she got 7 (!) notifications just yesterday for posts that were posted over the span of 8 days.

So, it’s possible that the WP installation is behaving correctly, but Feedly is not doing something right?

Yes, this is what I think it is happening: WordPress is working fine, it is generating the RSS correctly (last generation was made at Wed, 24 May 2023 01:35:24 +0000), but something weird is happening with Feedly. Can you test this behavior with another RSS reader like Inoreader?

Inoreader works. Feedly support is not responsive and says that they can’t do anything. They blame the host. The host says they’re not blogging Feedly and ever so often (?10 days) Feedly will connect to my blog, but it’s hit and miss still.
