• Hi,

I was sailing along smoothly with my blog at https://safefatlossrevealed.com. My RSS feed was working fine until the other day it stopped working.

This is the error message I get now:

“HTTP Error (Code) and Message: (404) Feed not found error: FeedBurner cannot locate this feed URI.”

I use the FD FeedBurner Plugin.

I recently changed the permalink structure. Could that be the problem?

I’m not really sure how to fix this problem. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

    Regards,

    Mark Hanson

  • Your feed is invalid. Try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi esmi,

Thanks a million! I wasn’t expecting a response so quickly.

I did as you said and deactivated all of my plugins and then reactivated them one at a time. It turned out that the culprit was my “FD Feedburner Plugin”.

I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and then reactivated it. Everything is back to normal.

Thanks again. I was pulling my hair out in frustration.

If that plugin caused a problem once, it’s likely to cause it again.

Is there a plugin similar to “FD Feedburner Plugin” that is better or less likely to screw me up?

I’ve not used any of the feedburner plugins so couldn’t really recommend any one more than the others. Added to which, it’s sometimes the combination of plugins that causes the problem. So a different FB plugin may play nicer with your other plugins.
