• Most people say that the main advantage of converting to Feeburner is its statistical reporting — especially information regarding users who have “subscribed” to feeds.

From what I have read, some of the other “advantages” of Feedburner can be obtained with existing WP extensions or add-ons. For example, add-ons can provide email notificatin of new posts, and social networking submission.

I have a blog less than two months old. I use AW-stats to get basic information.

Is there an alternative to Feedburner, that would provide additional statistical reports, but without having to change the native WP feed system?

Does Feedburner provide meaningful promotional advantages as well as statistical reporting?

I am reluctant to change over to Feedburner, but if it is the smart move I ought to make it sooner rather than later.

    Thanks!
