    Hello WP Folks!

Just finished tidying up my WordPress website. Although not all the pages / content has been completely built out, I am ready to show it to the forum :).

Without further ado: Internet Marketing Moz. I’m hoping to use it to become an industry thought leader in the internet marketing niche. Big dreams, eh!

And honestly, I would greatly appreciate any feedback from you guys! Please open discussion!

  • As SEO is one of the topics you seem to specialize in, these are a few suggestions that in my opinion may improve your SEO:

    1. Though Google no longer cares about the meta tags in the header, other search engines do. For example you have 94 characters in the title tag. Try to keep it within 80 to make it more robot-friendly.

    2. As against the above, your Description meta tag contain only 31 characters where as the recommended industry standard is 50 characters.

    3. Your image alt tags are shown as pic, slide1, slide2, and slide3. These won’t give any SEO benefits. Make them more descriptive by including your primary or secondary keywords.

    4. Your single keyword marketing appears 23 times (5.46%) making it a bit spammy – something that is called keyword-stuffing in SEO parlance. Reduce it to less than 5%.

    5. The single keyword marketing will not help you much as there are millions of sites that use the same keyword. To overcome this problem, try to use double and triple word keyword phrases that are relevant in your case. Using less competitive relevant keyword phrases can take you to the top of the first page of SERP.

What weighting is actually given to alt and title tags of images? I have all mine with a couple keywords, and the subject of the photo (i.e Dunedin Web Design – “subject of image”)

Weighing keeps on changing. Google never gives out the actual algorithm details, and keeps on changing. You learn these from many sources such as SEO forums, SEO tools, Google guidelines for webmasters, etc. However, you have correctly used image alt tags, if your keywords and content relate to that. You can find most of the info from Google Webmaster guidelines.

    Krishna, this is amazing advice!

I’ll be staying up late to implement these suggestions as well as keeping the boat moving.

Again, the term “marketing” is definitely in there far too many times. Thanks for finding this ??
