  • neat idea ..

    1. your site is “crappily” coded (213 validation errors):
    https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=https://www.crapolicio.us/

    2. “WordPress 2.2”: time for an upgrade, its also exploitable.

    Hey thanks for the notes.

A couple of questions (I’m a non-coder, so bear with me):

    – why do WP templates end up becoming invalid? Does it happen when you start adding plug-ins, or ad code, or what?

    – is fixing these errors absolutely crucial? Or can it slide?

    – where could I find a true WP code guru who could help fix my code? I have a couple other websites that are having similar problems?

    thanks,
    scott

Placing any items incorrectly, adding plugins that are not validated, a theme that is not valid in first place, the list is endless..

Depends on how you want people to view your site. Validation errors cause all sorts of different problems for different browsers and can severely impact the load speeds of your site.

Probably right here in this forum or if you are willing to pay, try here:

Speaking of validity, I downloaded a badly outdated referral link from a music site yesterday. The elements were in upper case, the ampersand was uncoded, and the image element had neither an alt attribute nor a self-closing tag. I made the fixes, the link worked perfectly, and the web page I put it on tested as valid. I sent the site an e-mail to that effect, but now Shadow has me wondering, if it isn’t too late to send them a bill as well!
