Feedback Request For “Multiple Blog” Hacks

  • I read through the info on:

    and my question is, which one is the most stable and secure solution? There are quite a few multiple blog hacks listed and I would love to hear feedback from those who have tried them out.

    Also, as a side question, are there any time estimates on when multiple blog capability will be “Officially” integrated into WordPress?

    Another question on the “multiple blog” capability concept is, has anyone created a front-end that automatically features current blogs within the system? This functionality would allow a nice index page in root. Also, is there a sign-up page that automates the sign-up and creation of a blog? I would like to offer free blogs to those who publish content in a specific subject or genre. It would not be open to all subjects (unlike the other free blog sites) but rather a community that relates to a specific subject. Has anyone created this type of functionality as a plug-in or hack for WordPress?
