  • Well it looks incredible. How did you get that big changing image on the front page?

    its just a slideshow, view the source..

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    if (ie4||dom)
    document.write('<div id="canvas0" style="position:absolute;width:'+slideshow_width+';height:'+slideshow_height+';top:0;left:0;filter:alpha(opacity=10);-moz-opacity:10"></div><div id="canvas1" style="position:absolute;width:'+slideshow_width+';height:'+slideshow_height+';top:0;left:0;filter:alpha(opacity=10);-moz-opacity:10;visibility: hidden"></div>')
    </script>

    might want to fix those.

    also your feed link needs to be fixed if you want folks to be able to click it that are using ff.

    I used a javascript like
    this one.

    Nicely done. I’d get some pretty urls going soon though.

    Yeah, I was wondering if you had used a plugin. How did you get the text in front of the big image?

    Great looking site! A+. Clean and easy to navigate. Great use of greyscale with color. What forum software are you using?

    One criticizm would be (and this is just nit-picky since the site looks excellent) to put a little space between the post body (left column) and the sidebar, equal to the padding on the left and right of the wrapper (looks like 10px). I would also recommend giving this gap a color other than white to help for a smooth transition between the large header blocks.

    The archives page is broken.

    cheers whooami, everything validates now.

    Wow! Very clean…easy navigation. Awesome job…Cheers!

    Looks great!

    In IE6, your footer was 3/4 up the page, snug under your content, and your side bar extended way past.

    My question: how did you get the javascript for the slideshow in the front page, and not the other pages?

    Ahhh fantastic mate… I’m a film student! in my 4th year of Film Studies!!!

    Site looks fantastic! also the random images rotation is very cool effect and PunBB is perfect for the site, i dont think you should put PhpBB or vBulletine…

    Great job!!!!

    @katgirl:
    Any chance you could send me a screenshot, I’ve tested in IE6 and it looks ok to me…

    @mindfeck:
    The main image on the homepage is coded into index.php, the images on other pages are generated by the_content in single.php. They are absolutley positioned to pull them out of the main column.

    @pumatalk:
    Glad you like it. Any thoughts on the best places to promote the site? Which sites do film students regularly look at?

    I went back and checked using IE6 and the footer shift seems to have fixed itself.

    Good work, btw
