• Hello all,

After a 2 month break from blogging due to moving to Germany, I feel its about time I got back on the wagon, so have started to put together a theme that I want to release.

It is still very much a work in progress, but I’d love some feedback on what still needs doing, or could/should be done.

Its the first theme that I’ll have released, so want it to be as good as it can!

You can see the theme on my test blog at https://www.epicalex.com/lab/repo/

    Any feedback is appreciated!

Yeah, maybe it’s just me, but the title logo looks awful. Hurts my eyes just to look at it. There’s something about the thick black lines on white background that just doesn’t sit well as an easy to read website. If I could suggest something, it would be to change the black-on-white look you’ve got going: it’s a strain on the old eyes to read!!!
Regular BOW is okay, but the thickness of the text and lines on the screen are a little offputting.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Cheers

    I agree with FernbyFilms.
Something In the design made me go away very fast. Almost if it is tiring to stay… a feeling that you will get bored or impatient very fast.

I am not sure exactly what it was (because I didn’t stay too long – a thing that for itself is not that good) but something about the proportions between negative-positive spaces, lines, and boarders.

OK, thanks for the feedback, I’ll have another look at the whole thickness-of-the-lines issue. As regards the spacing of +ve, -ve, I used the 960.gs grid system preportions, so I’m not sure about that one.

I’ll keep working on it then and see what other input I get, thanks guys.
