Feedback: Image upload issue never solved, many posts closed with no answer

    I installed WordPress for my employer based on all the great things others have said about it. But I have a huge issue that apparently many people are having and I have yet to see a fix that works on our server: Image upload fails without error in Firefox and Chrome, and posts after several (5-8) minutes (no error) with IE, but the several minute wait is awful.

    I have done a clean install, switched to the twenty-eleven theme, and disabled plugins with no success. Permissions are correct. DNS has been flushed. Cache has been cleared. Database has been checked for url references. Every possible obscure solution from non-Wordpress staff has been tried (over 15 different code or configuration modifications) – and there is a remarkable silence from WordPress staff in the forums.

    Many of the posts in your support forum on this and other issues are closed with not a single response. How can you close issues without even making one suggestion? If you do a search for “media uploader hangs”, “media uploader not working”, “can not add media”, etc., there are literally hundreds of posts.

    I’ve spent a WEEK on this. I think it’s terrible and I plan to share my conviction that ANYTHING is better than WordPress.

    Have you tried a different machine? Outside of your current network?

    How can you close issues without even making one suggestion?

    All topics are closed automatically by the forum’s software after 12 months.

    Thee are also literally millions of WordPress users. Over 21 million last time I checked. On that basis, a few hundred unanswered posts within a free, volunteer-staffed, forum that averages 5 or 6 posts per minute isn’t that bad.

    I have many problems with the newest version.

    1. When I want to update plugins and click select all, nothing happens.

    2. When I try to upload media, nothing happens.

    3. When I do a search at the bottom for images, or books, nothing happens.
