I am trying to set up Powerpress to deliver my RSS feed – which is currently done manually with XML.

I have a test feed set up (with one episode) but when validating the feed using Cast Feed Validator the basic feed test throws an error – “More than likely you have a theme or plugin that is adding an image to your RSS feed. Most likely this is a favicon image that is small, 16×16 or 32×32. This will cause problems if you want to put your podcast on Spotify.”

I cant work out why this is as there are no small images being used.

Your WordPress theme is likely injecting a link to your site’s favicon image file into the podcast RSS feed. Try this:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Feeds tab
3.) Check the box next to “Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds.”
4.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
5.) Clear any site caches, if applicable
