    Hello,

if i use the ongoing import function, will this plugin update feed content for already existing episodes, if they had been altered in source?
or will it some day… ?
    Thank you.

    Hey @edumusa,

    Thanks for using our plugin!
Well, that really depends – if you have a bunch of existing episodes in your site, and you want to import from a podcast feed that already contains those episodes, you must make sure the title matches.

Once you import the episodes with our plugin, you can change the titles, as a new GUID would be added for each episode and no duplicate episodes would be imported.

hi, thank you for a quick response!
    Maybe i have been misunderstood…

say i imported some episodes with this plugin.
i check the ongoing import checkbox so feed gets updated frequently (that’s very nice).

now, i have altered some of those old episodes description text in the source (i’m using anchor.fm).

That is: In Anchor.fm, episode description text is now different from my website.

When the plugin runs again, does my old episodes get the brand new description text from the source?

Oh I see. I’ve probably misunderstood the initial question.
The ongoing import would not touch any of the existing posts, so you worries at all there!

You can make as many changes as you want to the posts content, title, audio player, featured images and so on – and it would still remain intact.

    Thanks again!

… well, my intention was to enable alteration from the source into the websites posts… ??

i’ll leave here a suggestion for your great plugin: Open a possibility, or not, for that change to happen. like a checkbox or something.

    Cheers

    Got it, now!
We’ll look into an option of updating the posts as you modify that in the source.
