  • Hi vahanavagyan1,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. There can me several reasons for it to take longer then expected but an entire day does sound long yes.

Our plugin processes products in batches otherwise it would take too much server resources and slow down your website. The downside of this is that it does take more time to process the product feed. You can change these batch sizes in order to speed up the creation of the feed: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/. You could try experimenting with a bigger batch size.

How much products, including variants, do you need to process?

    Best,
    Eva

Hello and thanks for your response. I just set batch size to 3500. This said, there’s another issue that i’ve noticed even prior to manually setting the batch size. The issue is even when the status (on the /wp-admin/admin.php?page=woosea_manage_feed) page ‘stopped’ it shows ‘stopped’ for a moment then the page refreshes and shows ‘processing (0%)’ without blinking and if i refresh the page, it shows again ‘stopped’ but then page once again refreshes and shows ‘processing (0%)’ without blinking (endless loop).

If i hit the ‘manually refresh feed’ button it shows ‘processing (0%)’ blinking but when i refresh page, it is back to above described loop.

    Please advise. Thank you!

To add to my above reply; suddenly from ‘stopped’ it shows ‘processing (33%)’…

Yeah the percentage only jumps from a idle/stop or 0% to a higher percentage when the first batch is done processing. In your case, since you have quite a lot of products that could take a while.

It is on our developers to-do list already to make the status percentages a bit more advanced ??

Got it. Yeah, i was about to ask you now why it’s now stuck at 33% for like past 2 hours but your most recent reply explains.

Do you think me checking file-size via FTP will give better state of %?

    Will wait…

FYI: Just went from 33 to 67% (took 2.5h).

    Thats still rather slow unfortunately.

So based on the batch size you configured and the steps it takes I estimate you have about 10.000 products and possibly lots more when those 10.000 also have variants?

    (@vahanavagyan1)

    about 8k products.

What # should i try for the quickest indexing? 5k? 10k? (server is pretty strong cpu/memory-wise). Pls advise.

Could you send us the plugin debug.log? It will help us understand how you have configured your product feed: instructions on how to retrieve the debug.log can be found here: https://adtribes.io/send-your-debug-log-to-support/

With only 8k of products it should not take this long at all so I want to rule out any other issue.

    Best,
    Eva

Done. Pls check your [email protected] email (look for subject: vahanavagyan1’s debug log).

    Hi,

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved and/or our support is no longer required I am going to close this topic for housekeeping reasons.

Do not hesitate to reach out to us again whenever you need our help.

    All the best,
    Eva
