I’m trying to get a feed created, however, it’s been stuck at “Processing (0%)” for nearly an hour. I’ve tried refreshing the page, with no luck. Please advise.

    Hi there,

    Here’s what I’ve done:

    1. Verified that the plugin is updated
    2. Reached out to the hosting company to attempt to increase the memory/storage on our install (that ended up breaking our website) – whatever the plugin is trying to do is exhausting our server (through WP Engine)
    3. This is what WP Engine has confirmed it’s not: not a long process killer issue, server load is low, the plugin is updated, no errors with cron
    4. Checked the WooCommerce Error Log:
2021-09-29T14:47:04+00:00 CRITICAL Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 67108872 bytes) in /nas/content/live/chipyourcar19/wp-content/object-cache.php on line 329

Please advise on what you suggest to do from here.

    Hi,

Thanks for this. It seems like your website is running out of maximum allowed memory, see:

2021-09-29T14:47:04+00:00 CRITICAL Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 67108872 bytes) in /nas/content/live/chipyourcar19/wp-content/object-cache.php on line 329

You could try solving that by lowering the batch size of our plugin so our plugin uses less memory, however it might not solve the issue as it seems other plugins, such as your object caching one, use a lot of memory. This is how you can lower the plugin batch: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/
Try lowering it from the default 750 to for example 300.

When that doesn’t help I suggest you increase the maximum allowed memory size on your webserver.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply! Would you be able to lower the batch on the plugin?

I connected with our hosting provider and they have already maximized our allowed memory.

Would you be able to lower the batch on the plugin?

–> no, as it is against WordPress guidelines to do so.

You can do it yourselves though by following the steps as laid out in the blog post: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/
