Feed is not updating, stuck at processing 100%.
Recently there was a site optimization work and some CRON files have been deleted, including the one for the plugin, and I believe this may cause the issue. Since then the feed is not updating.
This is the plugin system check report.
The CRON is enabled on the site.
Any idea what is the issue and how to fix it?

    Thank you!

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    • Did you already try to de-activate and re-activate the plugin as that will recreate all cron hooks/events needed for the updating of your feeds.
    • Are you perhaps using a 3th party caching plugin that is caching your manage feed page? If so, try clearing its caching, refresh your browser, and see if that makes the processing status jump to ‘ready’

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

I have tried multiple times to de-activate and re-activate the plugin, also clearing the cache, and it's still the same.
I just noticed that the file URL doesn't exist, and Google will disapprove the products.
    Why this can be happening?

Our plugin never deletes feed files itself, it can’t. Perhaps you or some plugin (security or backup) removed the file?

Anyhow, what happens when you create a feed from scratch. Does that work?

No, it does not work. I made a new feed yesterday, and the feed status is ready, but when I click the feed URL, the link is not found.

Then it sounds like a permission issue on your webserver, somehow the plugin is not allowed to write files to your folder. Are you running security/firewall/permission plugins?

Also, did you check the WooCommerce fatal error log of today to see if there is anything in there that might explain what happened?

    Hi Support,

I’m the developer on the site. I’ve checked the WooCommerce fatal error log and there are no errors related to your plugin. There are a number of execution timeouts for other plugins, but nothing for Product Feed Pro. Furthermore, we do not have a firewall or permission plugin. I can not think of a reason why the file would be deleted. On our server, where is the file typically stored? I’ll see if I can manually locate it.

Also, the cache has been cleared multiple times and the plugin deactivated and reactivated multiple times since the error started to occur.

There are a number of execution timeouts for other plugins, but nothing for Product Feed Pro

–> Bear in mind that our plugin sometimes uses functionalities from other plugins too, especially when those plugins do things to prices, discounts, shipping, taxes, carts and so on. So the fact the name of our plugin does not show in the WooCommerce fatal error logs does not mean it is not effected by an execution timeout.

Would it be possible for you to increase the maximum allowed execution time? Next to that I suggest you decrease the batch size of our plugin. The default size is 750 products per batch. Try lowering it to 200 to see if that makes a difference. This is how you can lower the batch size: https://adtribes.io/batch-size-configuration-product-feed/

Feeds typically are stored in these locations (depending on the feed type you selected):
    ../wp-content/uploads/woo-product-feed-pro/xml/
    ../wp-content/uploads/woo-product-feed-pro/csv/

In theory the ../wp-content/uploads/ directores should be open to put files in as they are designated for this purpose.

    Thank you for your help!

We got the feed working again. We didn’t change the batch size. Increased the maximum execution time and made some other changes on the site, and started working.
    I have one more question.
Why in some feed updates, the number of products may vary, without any changes made in the feed settings or the products. I have set up some rules, and I think in some updates, these rules are not applied in the feed.
    You can see it here.

    Thanks again!

Changes are that that is still being caused bu the plugin getting stuck on some processing cycles, when this keeps happening I would still try lowering the batch size of the plugin.

I have tried lowering the batch size to 200 and the number of products again is very inconsistent. I removed the batch size since I think was better without.
