Glad to hear that prouin, just let us know if you have any other issues in future.

    John

How did you fix it? I’m having the same problem.

    sdayman,

I am not sure what prouin did to correct the issue as they do not indicate what what they did to “sort it out”. However, from the symptom prouin described (“the feed get stuck to a week ago and not refreshing”) and if you are having the same issue you might wish to try this:

First make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin.

Go to your WordPress Dashboard – Facebook Feed – Customize – Misc (tabbed page) – scroll to the bottom of the page and make sure the last setting on the page “Force cache to clear on interval” is set to “Yes” and then click on “Save Changes” on that page.

Next go to your WordPress Dashboard – Facebook Feed – Settings – Configuration (tabbed page) and click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of that page as well which will ensure all current plugin settings are properly saved to the file.

If this does correct your issue then please post accordingly so others who might be experiencing the same problem can benefit from these instructions. If not then please submit a support request here so we can dig deeper on your behalf for you.

This FAQ may also be useful. If your most recent post(s) are shared from someone’s personal profile then they may not appear in the feed on your website due to privacy restrictions. Sometimes this gives the impression that the feed has stopped automatically updating, when in reality it’s due to Facebook not providing the data for those posts.

I tried all of the above and still no joy. My site is https://district8kin.ca. The feed worked perfectly before the most recent update to the plugin.

    Hey Doug,

Sorry for the delay responding, I didn’t see your message here. I checked your site and it looks like the feed is displaying successfully in the sidebar. Are you still having an issue? If so, could you open a new ticket and include your “System Info” from the plugin, which is under the Support tab on the plugin’s Settings page.

Many thanks, and I hope you’re having a good start to your week!

    John
